Pohnpei Architecture
Japanese Colonial Architecture
1918 to 1939


The Japanese Agriculture Research Station at Pwunso, Nett, Pohnpei Island.
The building was was erected in 1926 or 1927. It serves as the administrative offices of the South Seas Buearus Agricultural Research Institute as well as the Metereological Observatory (top two floors). The building was undamaged during Word War II and served as the Department of Agriculture building during the Trust Territory Period.
